Amber KellyVice President

I am Amber Kelly and I am running for the position of Vice President for the 2020-2021 academic year. I currently serve as the Director of Financial Aid at Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit. I have worked in Financial Aid since 2008 serving SMCC, as well as Mississippi Delta Community College throughout my time. I have been a member of MASFAA since 2014 and have been a member of the conference committee, as well as served on the MASFAA Board as Treasurer-Elect for the 2017-2018 academic year and Treasurer for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years. If selected to serve this association as Vice President, I promise to work with the MASFAA Board to provide our membership with the most beneficial professional, social, and personal development possible. I look forward to seeing all of you at future MASFAA events!

Megan SmithPresident-Elect

Thank you for the nomination for the office of MASFAA President-Elect.  My name is Megan Smith, and I am the Director of Financial Aid at Delta State University.  MASFAA has always been a part of my professional development as I began working in financial aid in 2010 while at Mississippi University for Women. Through the years, I have been afforded the opportunities to meet, learn, and work alongside incredible individuals in our association who have a similar goal-to help and support students financially as they pursue their college endeavors.  Considering the times ahead of us, the mission of MASFAA remains the same but is even more relevant, as we strive to “…establish a financial aid community that encourages the exchange of ideas and professional expertise to effectively and ethically promote access to higher education by meeting the needs of our diverse constituents-students, parents, and institutions”.  We, as an organization, must ensure that this vision remains the forefront of our practices by remaining intentional with our actions so that we can remain relevant and true to our beginning.  Even though we are inundated with the demands of our industry, we need a support system that can serve as a resource and voice for our members.  I would love the opportunity to serve the association and give back just like those who have served as mentors for me within MASFAA.  I am appreciative of your consideration for the office of President-Elect.

Greg Windham

My name is Greg Windham. I am currently the Director of Financial Aid at Northeast Mississippi Community College where I have served in this position for 11 years. I was previously employed at First American National Bank for 13 years were I served in various roles, including my last role as VP of Information Security. My wife, Jamie, and I have two children Meghan (16) and Carter (11) and reside in Booneville, MS, where we attend First Baptist Church Booneville.
I am seeking the office of Director. I have been involved in MASFAA for many years and have served in various positions on the Board, including President in 2013-2014. MASFAA has been a blessing to me and my career throughout my 11 years in this field. I could not have made it without the knowledge that has been shared to me and my staff from all its members. I feel it is my duty and honor to be able to give back to this fine organization and be willing to assist those that are in need. I will do my best to serve MASFAA with the utmost pride and respect as it has always shown me.
